Advanced Network/FireWall Settings

Many routers will not require setting specific rules to allow traffic to flow freely between RevenueWell’s servers and your RevenueWell phones, however, some firewalls do require specific rules to be created to allow this traffic to flow, uninterrupted and unfiltered.

This is especially critical if your firewall regulates outbound network traffic in any way (examples: URL blocking, domain filtering, DPI, etc.).

For routers/firewalls requiring specific rules to be created (see Firewall Recommendations & Router Requirements to determine if your router/firewall is included), we recommend that you create the following rules that allow unrestricted and unfiltered traffic between RevenueWell's servers and your phones.

Outbound Firewall Rule - Allow All Traffic (Unfiltered) to RevenueWell's servers

Inbound Firewall Rule - Allow All Traffic (Unfiltered) from RevenueWell's servers

At this point in time, many firewalls allow you to use an FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) in your rule-set. RevenueWell highly recommends that you use this in order to add all of our many IP addresses in one rule.  RevenueWell is constantly adding new IP addresses and optimizing routing. Using FQDN for whitelisting will eliminate the need for you to update your settings assuming your firewall supports this.

RevenueWell's FQDN: phones.allow.revenuewell.net

If your router does not support FQDN, you will need to add all of the below IP addresses to your router/firewall:

 IP Address:
 8.45.131.211
 8.36.70.202
 8.30.173.212

Please be advised that customers are responsible for ensuring that all technical requirements for utilizing RevenueWell are met—additionally, any supplementary network equipment setup and upkeep.
