Dentrix Forms Write Back

RevenueWell Forms supports write-back functionality with select Dentrix versions, helping practices reduce manual work and streamline the patient intake process.

To enable write-back, you’ll need:

  1. Dentrix version G6.2+

  2. To grant access through the RW Data Sync tool using the steps below.

Follow these steps on your Dentrix server (the workstation hosting RW Data Sync):

  1. Log in to your Server

  2. Open the RW Data Sync application.

  3. Navigate to the Setup Database Prerequisites tab.

  4. Click Create User.

  5. Enter your Dentrix Passphrase (usually managed by the Dentist or your IT administrator)

  6. Click Yes to confirm and proceed.

  7. Click Yes to grant access to RevenueWell.

Once properly configured, here’s what will happen for each form type:

  • Patient Info – PDF saved to Dentrix Document Center + fields updated in the patient chart.

  • Health History – PDF saved to Dentrix Document Center + fields updated in the patient chart.

  • Insurance Info – PDF saved to Document Center (no field updates).

  • Custom Forms – PDF saved to Document Center.

Additional Notes:

  • Forms processed before enabling write-back will not sync retroactively.
  • If you don’t complete the setup, Forms will not sync and must be handled manually.
