Can I send texts from my office number?
You can choose to use your office number as the number that sends text communications. You can enable this feature by taking the following steps:
Go to Settings > Phone and Text Message Settings > Messenger > Enable Office Number
By selecting "Enable Office Number," the Set Up screen will populate in a new window and will walk you through your request:
- On the Set Up Phone Number screen, the phone number field is pre-populated with your practice’s land line from your account record – this field cannot be edited.
- The email field will be pre-populated with the email of the user that is currently logged into Messenger – this field can be edited.
Upon selecting “Next,” a confirmation screen informs you that the request was successfully submitted. This process can take anywhere from 1 to 3 business days.
It also explains that you should look for an email from Twilio (a partner of RevenueWell) or from RevenueWell that will explain how to complete your SMS submission:
You must sign a Letter Of Authorization (LOA) for Twilio to provision your office number for texting. Twilio will send you an email with a link to a Hello Sign Letter of Authorization, that you must sign to allow for the conversion to continue!
You will have to take the following steps for authorization:
- Click “Review and Sign”
- Verify that all of your information is correct (double check that your email is entered in correctly!)
- Select “I Agree” to Hello Sign terms of service
- Sign document
Once the number has been enabled, which will take 1 to 3 business days, RW will send you an email informing you of a successful process! All of your outbound texts from RW will now be coming from your practice number:
“Success! As of {time of successful hosting} your texts to and from your customers are now being sent and received to your office phone # {phone number}”
If your phone number could not be enabled for texting, click HERE for a Help Center article that might help explain why it wasn't successful.
