How do I designate which patients will receive direct mail?
Depending on which communication you are sending to patients, you can:
- Choose to send direct mail or not
- Choose to send direct mail to all patients or only those who are "offline"
- Choose an age requirement for direct mail (all patients under a certain age will not receive direct mail)
- Choose a direct mail budget for automatic communications, which provides the limit to how much you want to spend per month on direct mail.
Automatic Communications
Automatic communications include appointment confirmation messages as well as the communications listed under "Automatic Communications" in the Campaigns tab. If a communication offers a direct mail option, you can edit the direct mail settings by click "Edit Settings" to the right of the message preview.

If you click "Yes" for sending direct mail, you will have the option to send direct mail to all patients or only to patients who are considered offline. You also can click on the link to set a monthly budget for the specific communication.

To set the minimum age requirement for direct mail for automatic communications, click on "Direct Mail Settings" in the Settings tab.

Scroll down to update the monthly budget for each communication. This number indicates the highest amount you are willing to pay for direct mail in any given month.

Custom Campaigns
In a custom campaign that offers a direct mail option, the "Filters" step allows you to control who receives direct mail. After selecting your filters, click "Update Results." This will show you the number of direct mail recipients you have as well as the associated cost.
In the next step, "Recipients," you can check or uncheck the direct mail box next to a patient's name to add them or delete them from the direct mail list.
The final step requires you to confirm that you wish to send direct mail with the associated cost. This box will appear after you click "Send Now."
