What is A2P 10DLC?
A2P 10DLC, also known as Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code, is the new standard text messaging framework for communication between businesses and their customers. A2P 10DLC is required by carriers, known as Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), and is designed to improve the reliability and trustworthiness of application-to-person communications.
A2P 10DLC allows businesses to utilize standard 10-digit phone numbers to send application-initiated messages. This means that businesses can use their existing phone numbers or acquire dedicated 10-digit long codes specifically for A2P messaging.
However, it's important to note that the A2P 10DLC regulation involves a required registration process and has associated costs. Businesses must register a business profile, which includes information such as company name, industry, and intended use cases for messaging. This registration helps establish accountability and prevent abuse of the messaging system.

The move to A2P 10DLC brings several benefits, including:

How is RevenueWell helping?
RevenueWell has gone through great lengths to ensure its customers are able to meet A2P 10DLC requirements as easily and painlessly as possible. For new customers, the required registration information is collected as part of your onboarding and submitted for approval. Existing customers who are either not registered, or have had a change in business ownership, can update their registration information in the RevenueWell platform which will then be submitted automatically.
Furthermore, RevenueWell has configured its registration process to provide customers with the highest message limits and throughput available. This ensures that messages sent by RevenueWell customers receive the fastest and most reliable delivery available.
What do I need to do?
New customers will be required to provide the registration information required by the MNOs during their onboarding process and which is then submitted for registration automatically.
Existing customers can visit our Text Message Verification page to either add or update their registration information. Note that updating registration information, such as in the event of an ownership change, may result in a fee due to the need to re-verify the business.
What if I don’t register?
Customers who fail to register can be negatively impacted in several ways, including:
- Message delivery issues
- Impact to brand reputation and trust
- Additional costs levied by MNOs for non-compliance
- Limitations on message throughput
What are the costs and fees for A2P 10DLC?
The costs and fees imposed from A2P 10DLC can be complicated and RevenueWell has worked to simplify these costs as much as possible for you.
Please note that these are direct pass-through costs and fees dictated by the MNOs and are subject to change at their discretion.
A2P Brand Registration Fee - $44 one-time fee upon registration
This is the cost associated with the initial registration and verification of your Brand (practice). Note: For established RevenueWell customers (as of April of 2023), we paid this registration fee for you.
A2P Campaign Use Case Registration Fee - $15 one-time fee upon registration
Brands must have a messaging use case, known as a Campaign. This is the cost associated with the registration and vetting of your Campaign.

A2P Recurring Monthly Campaign Fee - $10.41/month
Campaigns require a monthly fee in order to remain active and in compliance with A2P 10DLC regulations.
Note: For established RevenueWell customers, we have been covering this monthly cost since its inception in January 2023. As of July of 2023, all customers will be required to cover their Monthly Campaign Fee.
